Dr. Johannes Marisa is an accomplished academic, healthcare leader, and entrepreneur with extensive involvement in teaching, research, and public engagement. He serves as a lecturer and educator and has contributed significantly to academic development as a faculty member at the Great Zimbabwe Simon Mazorodze School of Health Sciences. A respected researcher and Professor in Public Health, he has authored numerous publications spanning healthcare systems, public health, and leadership.

In addition to his academic contributions, Dr. Marisa is a successful businessman and healthcare innovator. He is the owner of Westview Clinics, with locations in Kuwadzana, Ruwa, Norton, Eastlea, and Greendale, and the founder of the Westview Group of Schools in Rainham, which includes boarding facilities — reflecting his commitment to both healthcare and education infrastructure development.

His academic credentials are extensive, including a Master of Public Health (MPH), a Master of Business Administration (MBA), a Master of Science in Development Studies, a Master in Education Management, and a PhD in Business Leadership.

Dr. Marisa currently serves as President of the Medical and Dental Private Practitioners Association of Zimbabwe (MDPPZA), where he leads initiatives to support and unify private-sector medical practitioners. He was recently appointed Chief Executive Officer of Muduvuri Hospital in Kadoma, further reflecting his leadership in healthcare administration. He also serves as a board member of the Trailblazers Awards, contributing to the recognition of excellence across industries.
